Recording

Here are a couple pics from the recording session last week.

Don't we look frazzled.
That guitar hanging on the wall was signed by none other than Willie Nelson.
Without his signature the actual guitar would probably sell for about 15.99 at Wal-mart.

This is Jerry Yoder a.k.a. "Engineer Extraordinaire" shipped in straight from Nashville!
He was a wealth of knowledge, in all aspects...wow.

More Album Samples

I set up some audio links in the sidebar if you wish to hear some more Christmas Album Samples.
I posted two new ones. Christ Is Born and Tiny King

I will probably be adding some more as I get them.

Note: These are mostly unmixed samples and will of course have some balance issues and they also have not had the final "high quality" reverb added.

Another Sample

Here is an unmixed sample of... In The First Light. This song took almost two entire days to lay down. We all think it turned out pretty nice despite how long it took.

In The First Light

We are currently working on another difficult song. We are hoping to wrap this one up by tonight.

Recording

Wow. We are on day three and working on song #5. It is by far our most difficult song yet and probably the most difficult of the album. We are trying a new method of recording this time and so far we have been pleasantly surprised at how well it is going.

We are doing a more individualized approach and trying to eliminate as much computer editing as possible.

Here is a little sample file of Monday's two songs. We tried to pick some easier songs for the first day.

Day 1

Voice of Praise is in Harrisonburg this week recording. Since school is in session the children & I (Juanita) were unable to go visit my folks for the week. Here are some pictures of todays activities.

First stop, a playground. Since we have no grass yet that was a treat!

Then we went to Grandaddies & enjoyed visiting with them.

Grandaddy is famous among his descendants for his cheerful wave when we leave. :)
