Ladies Night Out

Tonight my wife left me at home with three children. Is it just me or is the level of bickering always much higher when the lady of the house is absent? My wife is out on the town for "Ladies Night Out". The ladies in our church who wish to participate divide up into groups of around 5 or 6 and they pick an evening to do something. Is this idea only suitable for women? Would men benefit from something like this? Maybe men have their day out when they go to work.
What do women talk about at these things?
Maybe I would prefer to remain ignorant.

Yeah. We might be better off in the dark on what they talk about! Well, have fun with the kids.

Hey Rob,
One thing I have learned about
these nights out, do not get
between them and their food. When
they are by themselves, it is gorge
themselves time. Ever peek in a
window at a lady's banquet? What
ever happened to etiquette? My wife loves when I poke fun about these things.

I feel a need to defend myself. I was at Panera Bread enjoying a bowl of soup & a 1/2 sandwich. :)

I've been seeing a lot of incoming links in my site meter from your blog. I come over here only to discover that you have me linked in your sidebar. Thank you very much. In blog world thats the highest honor one can bestow on another. Lol I suppose you know I'm an ex mennonite, some say I'm still Mennonite in my bones and brain. I was peering around the place here to see if I knew you in another life. I dont think I did. But anyway I'll give you a link over at my site. I get 250 to 300 people through a day so hopefully I can send some of the love your way! :)

No need to apologize BF, it's fun to surmise what goes on at these women only shin-digs. My guess is they all try to impress the others by eating these ridiculously small portions. They take three bites then act like their stuffed. After getting home they wonder why they are still hungry. My wife made the comment when she got home that I wouldn't like the Panera Bread because the portions are really small...she knows me so well... I order based on what I think provides the most food...not by what looks like might taste the best.

Yea, and than order coffee with it for the free refills. Just beautiful! I wonder what Elton would have to say about this. Remember him?

Yeah, good old Elton, I seem to remember having a picture of certain individuals running around in feminine attire...maybe I should scan those in for the whole world to see.

To Mrs Darling, my wife and I enjoy reading your blog and I appreciate your willingness to point your readers my way. I hope they are not too disappointed if and when they arrive.
